Right Hand Read (East Facing): This long RH read is located on IL Rt 9/Court St., a major east/west arterial route into Pekin. Situated at the entrance to a heavy retail and business corridor, this location is immediately between both Walmart and Menards anchored shopping centers. Traffic is approaching a signalized intersection at approximately 45 miles per hour coming into Pekin from surrounding communities including Morton, East Peoria, and Tremont, as well as Interstate I-155.

Right & Left Hand Read (West Facing): This unobstructed cross-intersection read captures 2 legs of the intersection connecting a Walmart and a Menards anchored shopping centers. From the West, motorists will have significant dwell time before passing through the signalized intersection turning either left towards Menards, right towards Walmart, or continuing straight along IL Rt 9. From the South, Motorists are traveling along IL Rt 9, as well as exiting Walmart with unobstructed right hand reads while dwelling at the intersection. As the only Walmart in Pekin, and the closest Menards/home improvement store within 10 miles, this intersection serves much of the community of 30,000 on a regular basis.
